Tranquility
Tranquility 20” x 20”
3-Dimensional Oil
Monet’s work has always held a special place in my heart. There’s something about the way he captured light and water—soft, layered, endlessly alive—that makes me feel both grounded and weightless. Tranquility is my way of leaning into that influence. It’s not meant to replicate, but to reflect—a conversation across time, painted in my own language of color and texture.
As I worked, the movement of the blues and teals began to feel like water pulling me inward—peaceful, but never still. Then that bright orange bloom appeared, on its own. I didn’t plan it, but it felt necessary. Like a spark of clarity or hope rising from the quiet.
Painting this piece was like taking a deep breath. A small moment of calm in a world that doesn’t often slow down. I’ll always be grateful for the way Monet continues to whisper into my work—it feels like a privilege to create in the echo of his inspiration.
