This painting was created alongside Coral Divide — a companion in tone and timing. Both emerged while my husband was exploring the stunning landscapes near Ghost Ranch, and I found myself drawn to a more subdued, structured palette. Mountain Spirit carries the weight and clarity of rock and sky — sandstone golds, turquoise blues, and deep blacks like cooled lava or shadowed canyon walls. There’s a quiet rhythm in the composition, almost architectural, like the bones of the land laid bare.
